August ~ Adopted 8 children through The Salvation Army for their “Back To School” program. We filled a backpack for each child with two outfits, new socks, a package of underwear, assorted snacks,a new pair of sneakers and a special picture that was colored with each of the children in mind by volunteer children.

September ~ Collected men and women’s clothing, shoes, sneakers, assorted household items, etc. and delivered everything to St. Francis House in Boston.

September ~ Collected books and assorted craft items, such as yarn and fabric and delivered two large boxes and five huge bags to a nursing home on the Lexington/Waltham line.

October ~ Went to St. Ann’s Home in Methuen to deliver four cases of juice that Welch Foods graciously donated to us and 75 “Activity Bags” that included crayons, bubbles, activity books, paper and Halloween stickers.

October/November ~ We went to different shelters for battered women and delivered handmade bags filled with items such as towels and assorted toiletries. The children’s bags also included a coloring book and crayons.

December ~ Held our first Fund-Raiser. We raffled a DVD Player and raised over $300.00! Congratulations to our winner Eileen Walsh!
